About All Angels
All Angels is a family-owned vineyard situated at a 17th-century farm deep in a very rural and historic part of Berkshire. The estate produces award-winning, single vintage English Sparkling Wine solely from grapes grown in their own vineyards, with an unwavering commitment to quality from vineyard to bottle.
All Angels: Site and Grape Varieties
The vineyard's name is taken from Enborne's 12th-century Parish Church, St Michael and All Angels, their nearest and oldest neighbour. The journey began with Sunday evening discussions about diversifying the farm, originally considering Alpacas before an exacting analysis revealed the terroir was ideal for growing grapes destined for outstanding English Sparkling Wine.
The first vine was planted in May 2011, and the vineyard has since expanded from an initial 2.6-hectare plot to 6 hectares. The carefully selected varieties include Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Gris, and Rondo, chosen specifically for their suitability to the Berkshire terroir and sparkling wine production.
All Angels wines are expertly crafted by Hattingley Valley, one of England's most respected wineries located across the border in Hampshire. This partnership ensures that the high-quality grapes grown on the estate are transformed into exceptional sparkling wines that showcase the very best of English viticulture.
The vineyard's ethos is built on uncompromising quality in the vineyard, winery, and bottle. Each wine reflects the unique character of their historic Berkshire location, offering wine lovers a taste of this special corner of England in every glass.
