Raimes English Sparkling: Site and Grape Varieties

Augusta and Robert are the fifth generation to farm this beautiful 1,800-acre traditional family farm, and their 15-acre vineyard is devoted exclusively to the three classic Champagne grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir. The chalk slopes of the South Downs provide the same geological foundation that has made Champagne famous, creating ideal conditions for producing sparkling wines of exceptional finesse and complexity.
