About Velfrey Vineyard
Velfrey Vineyard is Pembrokeshire's premier vineyard, a family-run enterprise established in 2016 on the gently south-facing slopes of the Lampeter Vale near Narberth. Producing award-winning Welsh wines, this beautiful vineyard has become a destination for wine lovers seeking to discover the emerging Welsh wine scene.
Velfrey Vineyard: Site and Grape Varieties
The vineyard is cared for year-round by Andy and Fiona, their son Ryan, and his wife Sophie, who takes care of all the food served from the visitor lodge. The family atmosphere extends to the vineyard dogs, Archie, Billy, and Bash, whose tennis balls can often be found among the vines. This personal touch makes every visit feel like being welcomed into someone's home.
Velfrey specialises in the production of award-winning sparkling and still white and rosé Welsh wines. The shop, open Tuesday to Saturday throughout the year, offers sales of their wines alongside Welsh cheese and charcuterie boards. Vineyard tours provide a unique grape-to-glass experience, while their Adopt-a-Vine packages offer the chance to own a piece of Welsh viticulture.
Visiting Velfrey Vineyard
The purpose-built Visitor Centre overlooks the vines, providing the perfect setting for afternoon and cream teas on the slate terrace. Whether you're purchasing wine online, joining a tour and tasting, or simply enjoying the peaceful Pembrokeshire countryside, Velfrey offers an authentic taste of Wales. It's a place where family passion meets winemaking excellence in one of Britain's most beautiful coastal counties.
