The story of Wiston's wines begins with Pip Goring, who arrived in Sussex from South Africa in 1972 with a dream of planting vines at her new home. That dream has flourished into reality, with the estate now owned by Pip and Harry Goring and managed by their son Richard and his wife Kirsty. This family stewardship ensures a deep connection between the wine and the land it comes from.

Located less than six miles from the English Channel, Wiston's vineyards occupy what local growers call the 'Banana Belt', a privileged microclimate where the South Downs provide shelter while chalk soils provide ideal growing conditions for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier.
