Poulton Hill Estate: Site and Grape Varieties

The estate's 9,750 vines are planted on warm, sunny south-facing slopes that provide optimal growing conditions for producing up to 20,000 bottles of wine annually. All grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring the highest quality fruit selection. The vineyard grows a diverse range of varieties perfectly suited to the Cotswolds' climate, geography, and soil: the white varieties Bacchus, Seyval Blanc, and Phoenix alongside the red varieties Pinot Noir, Regent, and Rondo.

Poulton Hill's experienced contract winemaker and distiller carefully blends and balances these grapes to create an impressive portfolio spanning white, rosé, red, and sparkling wines, as well as English spirits including Cotswold Brandy, Sloe de Vie, and English Vermouth. The estate's flagship sparkling wine, Bulari, has become synonymous with quality English fizz.
