About Wraxall Vineyard
Wraxall Vineyard holds a special place in English wine history, planted fifty years ago in 1974, making it one of the oldest vineyards in Somerset. Situated on a beautiful south-facing hill just south of the Mendips, the vineyard is surrounded by verdant countryside and breathtaking views that have captivated visitors for five decades.
Wraxall Vineyard: Site and Grape Varieties
Blessed with the mild South West climate and rich fertile soils, Wraxall's location proves perfect for growing vines. Yet as the team knows well, growing vines and producing wine is a slow process and a real labour of love. This patience and dedication has resulted in a range of award-winning English wines including the acclaimed Wraxall Sparkling, Wraxall Rosé, and Wraxall Bacchus White.
